In accordance to Bibliotheca Alexandrina's goal to avail knowledge for all, more than 130,000 Arabic books are now available for researchers as well as common readers.

Alexandria- 30th July 2009: The BA has witnessed the honored visitation of HE Dr Ahmed Nazeef, the Egyptian Prime Minister, and HE Dr Tarek Kamel, Minister of Communication and Information Technology, to celebrate the installation and launching of the Supercomputer- a new scope for scientific research in the Region.
